two chords serving as the soundtrack to the start of absolutely nothing all naivete corruption of youth when i grow up i just want to be an idealistic portrait of someone other than me living life comfortably now we're old at least i think so i don't know it's hard to keep track as years come down to nothing more memories best if locked away and forgotten i don't know but years come down to numbers and there's a corpse in this bed and he's trying to escape as we're both holding hands from millions of miles away

if you want the lyrics to this song just look it up on Genius i didn't write it and i don't wanna type it all out as if i wrote it

about

ORIGINALLY this lil thingy was supposed to consist of 6-7 songs, but i wasn't able to record them all in a timely manner due to being sick and having a lot of school work to catch up on. nonetheless, this lil acoustic demo thing is my birthday present to myself, and i hope that you enjoy it, even if it's just a little bit :)) <3

credits

released April 4, 2020

every song on this Music Thing was written, performed, and recorded by leroy bill mitchan the third, besides the track "true love will find you in the end" which is a cover of a song by the late, great Daniel Johnston.
i'd like to say thank you to so many people, but for the sake of being brief and getting this thing out by april 4th, i'd just like to give my sincerest thanks to every single person who is reading this right now. i love you, i appreciate you, and to everyone who has ever supported me i cannot express how thankful i am and i will send u a thank you note or something, i don't know. thank you, seriously.
p.s. the title of this Music Thing is taken directly from a quote from Winston Churchill. the quote was: "Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts." which i saw on a bathroom stall when i was taking a piss.
