okay so last year i released a lil thingy called "failure is not fatal" which was just two songs that i recorded in one-take on my phone in my grandparent's basement. originally, it was supposed to be somewhere around 10 songs, but i procrastinated (i wanted to release it on my birthday) and only ended up having two recordings i felt somewhat proud of. still though, until the very last second, a different recording of this song was included on the track list until the very last second. i'm not sure why, but when i was getting ready to hit publish, i just started feeling sour and indifferent to this song and i deleted the recording that i had. this year, on my birthday, which is tomorrow at the time of me writing this, i wanted to put out some of the songs that i didn't release last year. instead of my grandparent's basement, i instead recorded this in my car, which was parked in their driveway (and on a different day a korean church by my house) and after getting several takes of various songs i've written over the years (most of which were on the intended track list from last year), this was the only one i felt genuinely proud of. it's rough, and i messed up a lot, and i recorded it in my car with the windows rolled up in the heat in the parking lot of a korean church while wearing a hoodie that says "greg", but that's okay. i'm proud of it, and i hope you enjoy listening to it. either way, regardless of whether or not you do, i hope that you have a good day, and thank you for reading this far.

with special thanks to (this is a lot of special thanks for a single song but I'm very thankful for all these people!):
-Jocelyn Giselle Roman, my incredibly inspiring girlfriend, and someone who has been on both of the "with special thanks to:" paragraphs I've written so far. Even though nothing I've made so far has been anything to write home about, I wouldn't have been able to get this far without her, and I'm honored to be able to include her in this section now, the last one I wrote, and any other ones I write in the future.
-Justus Witcher (more like Just A Bitcher, or B-Side Suites:
open.spotify.com/album/0wZIi0sj6uL81CO6XHO2ER), a very talented person in their own right who is my creative confidant and is also someone whom I was in a very short-lived band with
-Ronald Hein, the father to Kieran Hein (who is also someone I'd like to thank), and one of my Best Friends and biggest influences for everything I've done musically.
-I wanna thank you, the listener ;)
-And of COURSE I want to thank my family. I want to thank my Mother, Jamie Burdett, for getting me into music in the first place. And I also want to thank her and my step-father, Anthony Burdett, for allowing me to play music loudly into the late hours of the night.
There's so many more people who I wanna thank, and I will thank you whenever we end up talking about this lil song, or whenever I force you to listen to it (whichever ends up happening first), but until then I wanna just say it here: thank you from the bottom of my heart, and even though this is just a one-take acoustic demo that I did in my car the day before my birthday, I really hope you enjoy it and hope you know I couldn't have done it without you guys!
